Steve Million

1978-1988 – lived in Kansas City – worked with Steve Cardenas, Stan Kessler, Tim Davis, Ron Vincent, Carmel Jones, David Brandom to name a few. 

1984 – 1988 – became musical director for Ida McBeth Band.

1988 – moved to Chicago where he still lives. Semi-finalist Thelonious Monk Piano Competition.

1995 – began teaching jazz piano at Benedictine University (through 2002). Released his first record “Million To One” on Palmetto Records as leader with musicians Randy Brecker, Chris Potter, Ron Vincent, and Michael Moore.

1997 – 2nd Palmetto Release “Thanks A Million” with the same band.

1999 – 3rd Palmetto Release “Truth Is” with Dick Oatts replacing Chris Potter and adding Steve Cardenas on guitar

2002-2022 jazz piano teacher and Jazz Chair at Merit School of Music

2020-present day – teaches Introduction to Jazz Piano at Vandercook College of Music

Steve has released many other recordings under his name as a leader that can be accessed on all major music platforms.
