Kimberly Ford
Kimberly Ford, Camp Director

Kimberly Ford has been a member of the Northwoods Jazz Camp Faculty for the past 10 years and acting as Co-Director the past few years. She will now take the helm in 2025 after the loss of our director, Kim Richmond. She has been an active performer and educator for her entire professional life; serving as President of the Santa Barbara Vocal Jazz Foundation and former board member of the Santa Barbara Jazz Society. Her studies have included apprenticeships with Jay Clayton and studies with Sheila Jordan and Rhianon.

Kimberly and Kim Richmond were “The Kim Project”; a 5-piece ensemble playing Kim’s original arrangements inspired by the work of Herbie Hancock and Joni Mitchell.

Her current group, Dreamland, a 7 piece ensemble, performs the works of Joni Mitchell and tours nationally.

She has produced 8 recordings including “Tribute” with Kim Richmond. Her recordings and performances earned her recognition in Jazz historian Scott Yanow’s “The Jazz Singers: an Essential Guide”.
