We had a very productive and enjoyable Jazz Camp this year (2023) May 3-6.

Our faculty make-up changed a bit for this year (2023), but all are great players and excellent teachers!

Each one learned something, and all were passionate about their performances.</em></h3> <h3 class="wp-block-heading"><strong><em>There were classes in Jazz Improvisation and Masterclasses on each instrument.</em></strong></h3> <h3 class="wp-block-heading"><em>There were 4 combos, led by facutly pianist Ryan Frane, guitarist Tom Hynes, trombonist Andy Baker and trumpet Dave Scott.</em></h3> <h3 class="wp-block-heading"><strong><em>The Northwoods Jazz Camp Big Band rehearsed every day, and performed on the second half of the finale concert on Saturday.</em></strong></h3> <h3 class="wp-block-heading"> </h3> Regrettably, we have no video of Gail singing “The Shadow of Your Smile”, but we do have an audio recording here: The Shadow of Your Smile.mp3.
